Hampton Inn & Suites Denton

We were there to drop off my son at UNT and the manager who checked us in had graduated from UNT. Made us feel like it was a good hometown place. They gave us - carepackage lt green popcorn and tissues (parents saying goodbye and needing to be cheered up). Very nice and a pristine facility.

Could not see the Mavs game on TV.

Appreciated Denton, the hotel was beautifully maintained in a residential neighborhood. The setting was ideal, right by a local restaurant, the convenience store down the road and historic downtown. I had coffee at Old West Cafe, located within 10 minutes walk. The breakfast was satisfactory with many beverages, and the staff were really helpful.

The TV guide was hard to navigate. The guide does not give a description of the program. Also, there was no Fox News.

great location but needs better maintenance

The room layout was excellent, providing enough space for my family with children. Cleanliness was great, reflecting attention to detail.

Everything was great, nice clean rooms and very comfortable beds and linens.

The bed was amazing, the air conditioner worked well, and the staff was super friendly, even allowing us to bring our beer into the lobby following a wedding reception where no one was quite ready to go to bed yet. The location was good and pretty easy to access from the highway.

The water pressure was so bad that I had to fill the tub and lay down in it to wash my hair. There's no way I was going to be able to fully wet it and rinse it with the pressure coming from that shower head. This may seem like something trivial, but the design of the blow dryers is downright dangerous. The back of the dryer where the air is sucked in is pretty much open, and it caught my hair in it and tangled/burned it. It could have been a lot worse! Spend 5 more dollars each and get a decent, safe, blow dryer. Also, there was a wet dirty washcloth on top of the shelf in the bathroom. Unless someone was tall like me, they wouldn't have been able to see it, but it was still pretty gross.

It was just a fitting option for a mini-vacation in Denton with decent value for money. The bathroom had a modern barn door that was quite the unique touch.

Location was easy to get in and out. The room was nice and clean.

The ice machines in the hotel were all out of order 3 out of 4 days of our stay. The only door to the back parking lot was out of order during our stay. The checkout was over a 30 minute process because the rates were not the same as the rate I booked at with Booked.net.

The stay included a well-maintained room with an really good selection of breakfast options, notably the tasty scones. The quiet area provided a serene environment, conducive to relaxation. The hotel is tucked away and a bit challenging to locate initially, and while the gym has good equipment, it might be cramped during peak hours.
